You’re playing sports, making your own decisions and did you know you are still growing? Your bones are working hard to reach their “peak bone mass” which will determine your bone structure for the rest of your lifetime.
So how can you help your body reach your growth potential? Here are some tips

- Any exercise that puts your weight on your skeletal structure will increase your bone growth
- Spend 20 minutes or so doing the following:
- Walking
- Running
- Jump rope
- Gymnastics
- Tumbling
- Bike Riding

- Boys, your body needs at least 1300 milligrams of calcium a day… sound like a lot? It's not! Here are some items that contain 300mg of calcium - pick 4 and chow down!
- 1 cup of milk, yogurt, or calcium-enriched orange juice
- ½ cup cottage cheese
- 1.5 ounces of hard cheese
- 1 cup dark leafy vegetables i.e broccoli
- 1 cup of ice cream

- Salt and sugar
